GeoCue Client/Server
Framework Technology for Workflow Management
GeoCue Corporation's geospatial process management system (GeoCue Enterprise) is a generic framework that is easily tailored to manage a variety of geospatial production scenarios such as LIDAR production, digital orthophoto production, traditional photogrammetric production and etc. In fact, GeoCue is applicable to just about any production or task management scenario that follows the paradigm of input of data, dividing the data into production “segments” and then processing the data into products. Here we use the term products somewhat loosely since products could simply imply a report. For example, we think GeoCue is a viable tool for parceling up a task such as intelligence review of image data among analysts.
GeoCue is a three tier multi-user architecture that uses .NET technology from Microsoft. .NET provides the real-time notification system that provides users with up-to-the second project status, regardless of who makes changes to project entities. GeoCue uses database technology for sorting project metadata. We recommend Microsoft SQL Server as the database of choice.

Environment Builder
Customized Working Environments For GeoCue Enterprise
Environment Builder is an application for GeoCue Enterprise Server that allows OEM partners, Integration Partners, Third Party Developers and GeoCue end-users to modify and develop new production Environments for GeoCue.
Environment Builder is a multipurpose component within GeoCue that is designed to support a wide range of uses. There are a number of modifications to GeoCue that can only be accomplished by combining functions within Environment Builder with application code specifically written for GeoCue. For example, if you need to intimately interface custom software that you have designed into a GeoCue Environment, Environment Builder will provide you a quick, interactive way to design Entities, Layers, Checklists and other components.

Command Dispatch System
Distributed Processing
GeoCue Departmental Server provides a collection of capabilities that allow you to:
- Running commands on a machine (node) other than the one from which the command is invoked
- Scheduling a command to run at a later time
- Distributing commands that operate on multiple objects across multiple machines.
This collection of capabilities moves geospatial production from workstation to enterprise in ways that can have tremendous positive impacts on productivity and, ultimately, job profit. We collectively refer to these features as the Command Dispatch System. The Command Dispatch System brings an exciting new level of productivity enhancements to GeoCue. Its basic capabilities include:
- Scheduling a task to run at a later time on the user’s workstation
- Scheduling a task to run now or later on a remote workstation
- Splitting a task (it must be a distributable task, discussed later) across multiple machines
- Configuring groups of machines as processing clusters
- Setting resource limits for machines and clusters
- Setting machine and cluster schedules to dynamically reallocate resources or take machines offline and online for administrative purposes
- Setting processing priorities on objects and projects
- Monitoring the progress of dispatched tasks
- Rescheduling or terminating tasks that have been dispatched
The Command Dispatch System is included with GeoCue Departmental Server.

Project Management
The Project Manager CuePac (PM CuePac) is a collection of GeoCue tools that provide extended features for project management and review. Project Manager is designed to by used by production project managers who desire greater insight into projects, the ability to do specific task assignments and tools for examining and exporting project statistics.
Project Manager provides the ability to:
- Review top level information about a collection of projects
- Assign Project Managers, Project Planners and other designated project personnel to specific projects
- Manage project users, groups and permissions
- Assign individual technicians at the checklist step level to project entities
- Assign planned task execution times at the checklist step level
- Review detailed project statistics such as actual technician, actual production times and so forth
- Export project data to Microsoft Excel
Project Dashboard
Project Dashboard is a new web-facing application that allows you to aggregate entities that are managed within GeoCue projects into a synoptic multiproject view. Dashboard includes:
- Iconic display of project status
- Alternate display modes such as Phase variance, Phase schedule, External Financial System comparison
- User-settable alerts for Warning and Error conditions
- Automatic email notifications on user definable events
- Ability to define “External” phases that allow remote users to update phase status via the web
- Microsoft Excel Import and Export of project definitions and status
Project Administrator
Project Administrator is a new extension for GeoCue that adds the ability to view project status and to plan production at any level from synoptic process status to an individual checklist step on a single entity.
- Provides an interactive Excel-like window into the history and planning data of project checklists
- Interface allows user to set planning data for groups of entities in a fast and efficient way
- Provides powerful query tools that allow you to mine project data in an infinite variety of ways from what working segments have passed QC to how much time has been spent on the project this week
Distributed Project Management System
The Distributed Project Management System (DPMS) is a collection of GeoCue technologies that are used for conducting project management between Prime contractors and Subcontractors (where the Prime may be the contracting agency such as a state or local government agency). DPMS provides near-real time tools for:
- Synchronizing the status of subcontractor work by “mirroring” progress into a Prime Contractor “Master” project
- Posting of controlled status packets from multiple subcontractors
- Real-time color coded project status across all contractors
- Forced QC steps with access control
- Data packaging and delivery tools that make data receipt “plug and play”
In addition to its use by data production companies, DPMS technology is currently deployed and used in several major United States data acquisition projects including:
- Florida Department of Emergency Management (FDEM) state-wide coastal mapping project
- Pennsylvania state-wide LIDAR and Ortho acquisition program (PA MAP)
